*SCREAMS* WHHHHHHYYYY???

I swear for every 1 nice comment or 1 person that comes up to me to pet Legend I get 3 VERY rude people make comments to me. I absolutely can not stand this neighborhood!(I'm out of here May 31st moving back to my old neighborhood-Thank G-d!). Today I walk Legend (it was so nice out this morning) I'm on the opposite side of the street minding my own business and some old jerk standing on the other side has 2 little dogs with I guess who is his wife. As I'm passing with Legend he says to Legend " No they aren't brunch!" Now Legend is not looking at the dogs or paying them or those people any attention so why make comment?!! I seriously thought I was gonna lose it. I said "Excuse what did you say to my dog?" Of course he wouldnt look at me or repeat it. I said,and I know I shouldnt have, "My dog is minding his own business so keep your fu*king comments to yourself." I was gonna keep going and tell him about his old ass self. But I already knew I went to far as it was. It really ticked me off. I know for a fact I'm not the only person around here with an APBT. My neighbor has 2...I see now why she doesnt walk them far from her house. Just the other day some guy with his baby were out on a walk. So I moved off the sidewalk so he could pass with the stroller. He says "oh no you don't have to move I wanted to pet him." And of course Legend couldnt help but to give his baby kisses. And on that same street walking past workers doing something to a house. Some guy(one of the workers) who just seen me stop and talk and seen how friendly Legend is. Runs up to near the house door and says "Whoa! Watch that dog!" "I'm like he's very friendly and he doesnt pay people attention on walks." And then he turns around in says really nasty "Yeah uh huh thats what they all say. I wouldnt trust one of those dogs." I'm like "I'm not 'they' and he's not 'those'. You just seen me let that guy pet him. If he was aggressive dont you think he'd be lunging perhaps even barking or growling?. I'm 105lbs soaking wet he's 85+ if I couldnt control him or if he was sooo aggressive as you try and make him seem why would I be walking him by myself??" and of course he had nothing to say. Its just ridiculous because most of the people making comment have seen Legend last summer when I moved here and have played with him! Sure he's changed his head got a bit bigger,his body isnt as skinny and he got a little bit taller. But It's like people he's the same freakin' dog! Sometimes its like why do I even bother trying to make him look less intimadating by putting bandandas, dog shirts, more colorful collars on him, and make him loose leash walk or heel when people are gonna act like that.....I must say though I have never met so many weirdos and dumba$$'s grouped in one town!(Okay I'm done now.)

The springtime must bring out the stupidity in people!

I'm so glad I had a prong collar on Legend just a few minutes ago. Took him on a short walk. Well as I'm cleaning up after Legend. I hear a very little boy, maybe around 4 come running around the corner. No problem Legend likes kids. What I didnt see was he was running with an older male Lab. NO LEASH! Then the Oh sh*t factor came in when I pulled Legend back and this dog got nose to nose with Legend.(As we all know thats a no no with bully breeds especially APBTs.) I never let Legend meet a dog like that especially a male. I don't know if the dog was being friendly or not because I was too worried about my dog being near a dog with no owner in sight and a child standing so close to two dogs that dont know each other. And in one instance I heard Legend snarl and I yanked him away but the dog still wouldnt move or get out of Legend's face and now Legend's making me slide in muddy grass with an open poop bag in my hand that I didnt get a chance to close yet-had to drop of course. Now the owner comes around the corner FINALLY to see me yanking Legend back(at this point Legend's making this aweful screeching noise-he doesnt bark).I picked Legend's front up and held him as tight as I could. And the owner is yelling Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!. He doesnt even grab his dog or child. He then says "Sorry sweetheart I didnt realize anyone was outside." my thought was HUH? uhhh its almost 1 why wouldnt you think anyone was outside. The only thing I could say was "I am so sorry. My dog has never acted like that." And were both apologizing to each other....I am so shaken up. Legend could have bitten his dog...A LEASH with an adult owner attached could have prevented that situation from happening.. And IF Legend would have bitten his dog I would have gotten the blame for it....ugh..Time for Legend & I to go back to OB class!!!
